I. Key Points for Daily Maintenance
Check before shift:
Clean the exposed guide surfaces and worktable of the machine tool, and lubricate all parts as required.
Check whether the positions of each handle are flexible and reliable. Conduct an empty test run to confirm that there are no abnormalities.
If the equipment is shut down for more than 8 hours, it should be run at low speed for 3 to 5 minutes first to ensure the lubrication system is unobstructed before resuming operation.
In the course of work :
Strictly abide by the operating procedures, always pay attention to the operation of the machine tool, and deal with any abnormality immediately.
It is strictly prohibited to place tools, workpieces or feet on the guide rail surface and protective cover.
Post-shift maintenance :
Thoroughly clean the iron filings, wipe all parts of the machine tool clean, and ensure that the lead screw and smooth screw are free of black oil.
Put the components back in place and fill in the shift handover record carefully.
Ⅱ. Regular Maintenance Contents
First-level maintenance (operator first, with the assistance of maintenance workers) :
External maintenance : Clean the exterior, check and replenish the screws and handle balls, and clean the lead screw, rack and bevel gears of the worktable.
Lubrication system : Clean oil pipes, oil holes, oil lines, and oil felt, check the oil quality, and keep the oil passage unobstructed.
Cooling system : Clean the water pump, filter and coolant tank, and check if there is any leakage in the coolant pipeline.
Electrical system : Clean the electrical box and motor, inspect and wipe the electrical components and contacts to ensure the safety and reliability of the circuits.
Secondary maintenance (requires professional maintenance personnel to participate) :
Partially disassemble, clean and inspect the transmission box, feed box and tool feeding mechanism, and adjust or replace severely worn parts.
Clean the inside and outside of the two boxes, as well as the tool feeding mechanism, gears, shafts, shaft sleeves, forks and other components to ensure that all speed change, positioning and safety devices are sensitive and reliable.
Ⅲ. Maintenance of Lubrication and Cooling Systems
Lubrication system :
The oil passage must be kept unobstructed. Regularly clean the oil pipes, oil holes, oil lines and oil felt. Check the oil quality and ensure that the oil gauge, oil level and oil window are bright.
For radial drilling machines, it is necessary to regularly add grease (between the top of the column and the lead screw motor) and engine oil (at the top of the spindle box).
Cooling system :
Regularly clean the water pump, filter and coolant tank, check if the coolant pipeline is leaking, and replace the coolant as needed.
Iv. Safety Operation Precautions
When processing parts, all parts should be locked tightly. The machine must not be stopped until the drill bit is withdrawn from the workpiece.
When the operator leaves the machine tool, or performs operations such as changing speed, adjusting, replacing workpieces and drill bits, or cleaning the machine tool, the machine should be stopped.
When a machine tool malfunctions or shows abnormal phenomena, it should be stopped immediately to eliminate the problem.
When leaving work, all handles should be placed in the non-working position, the power supply should be cut off, the machine tool should be cleaned and kept clean.
V. Seasonal Maintenance (Winter)
Hydraulic system :
Replace with cold-region anti-wear hydraulic oil (such as L-HV32 anti-wear hydraulic oil at -15℃). Thoroughly clean the oil tank and filter element before replacement. It is strictly prohibited to mix hydraulic oils of different brands and models.
After starting, run slowly for 8 to 10 minutes, then operate the hydraulic handle in a no-load cycle. Only when the hydraulic oil temperature reaches above 25℃ and the pressure stabilizes can load operation be carried out.
Mud system :
Increase the dosage of thickeners such as bentonite and CMC to enhance the viscosity and frost resistance of the slurry. When the temperature is below 0℃, add industrial antifreeze.
After the operation is completed, thoroughly clean the mud system and drain the remaining mud. If the equipment has been out of use for more than 24 hours, the pipeline should be purged with compressed air to ensure there is no residual liquid.
Drill maintenance :
After the operation, rinse the drill pipe, drill bit, guide drill bit and other components with high-pressure hot water (the water temperature should not exceed 40℃), with a focus on cleaning the residue between the drill pipe threads and the drill bit teeth.
Apply low-temperature special lubricating grease (with a freezing point 5℃ or more lower than the local minimum temperature) to the drill pipe threads, joints and other parts to prevent rusting and freezing of the threads.
Ⅵ. Other Matters needing Attention
Regularly check if the fasteners are loose, clean the wool and felt, and lubricate all components.
For radial drilling machines, it is necessary to regularly check whether the column guide rails are always oiled and observe the color changes of the engine oil, and replace it regularly.
For vertical drilling machines, it is necessary to inspect and adjust the lifting mechanism and clamping mechanism to ensure their sensitivity and reliability.
Through the above maintenance and care measures, the service life of the drilling machine can be effectively prolonged, and the processing accuracy and safety can be improved.
